Category T

Driving licence theory tests, category T

Category T is an agricultural tractor from 16, and the only base category where a trailer is included from the start. Sit the full paper of 32 questions, free and without an account.

What category T covers

Category T entitles you to drive an agricultural tractor or a slow-moving vehicle, a combination of such a vehicle with a trailer or trailers, and category AM vehicles.

It is the only category built around work rather than around getting from place to place - and the only base category in which a combination with a trailer sits inside the entitlement itself.

Why category T needs no “+E” version

In the other categories a heavier trailer requires a separate entitlement with the “+E” suffix: B+E alongside category B, C+E alongside C, D+E alongside D. Category T has no such need, because a combination with a trailer or trailers is part of the category itself.

It is worth setting this against the reverse direction: within Poland, categories B, C1, C, D1 and D entitle you to drive an agricultural tractor and a slow-moving vehicle together with a light trailer. Anyone holding one of them can drive a tractor without category T - but not a heavier combination.

What the exam material covers in category T

The paper is built as in the other categories: 20 basic questions and 12 specialist ones, 25 minutes in total.

The specialist part covers category T, so it deals with material specific to an agricultural tractor and a slow-moving vehicle, including driving with a trailer.
